About Us

We are a team of researchers at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, dedicated to research and development in the field of nuclear energy under the leadership of Prof. Radek Škoda. We offer students the opportunity to engage in projects, work on interesting qualification theses, or participate in international educational courses across a wide range of topics that our faculty offers in this field.

Nuclear Engineering Management

Master's Degree Program

The newly established Nuclear Engineering Management specialization welcomed its first students in September 2025.

About INMA

The IAEA facilitated International Nuclear Management Academy (INMA) supports universities to establish and deliver master's degree programmes focusing on technology management for the nuclear sector including nuclear power programmes, nuclear applications, and radiological technologies. It provides guidance for master's programmes that have a specialized focus on the advanced aspects of management and leadership required by the nuclear sector.

Projects in Nuclear Energy

Our Projects

Our faculty and department are part of numerous significant projects at both national and international levels. For example, we lead the CANUT research center and participate in the European educational program ENEN2Plus. Importantly, students can get involved in these projects during their studies, whether they are in bachelor's, master's, or doctoral programs:
